in the streets of the third ward.

this was right before school went back into session.  the weather was cooperative, the kids were their cute + silly selves, and mom and dad were celebrating a night out as a family before the school routine rolled back into place.

the mabbotts.

i have been creating tiny films of my family for almost a year now.  you can check them out here!  i have fallen in love with the movement and the story they each tell of our life during that time.  recently i had a few requests from families to do this for them.  although i knew i could create this for us over a month time span, i wasn't sure if i was going to pull it off for a 1/2 day together.

so here is my first attempt.  this adorable family let me hang out with them on one of their favorite days of the summer.  they biked, flew kites, took a paddle boat ride, skipped the flattest rocks around and ended with a hot fudge sundae - but i will let you see for yourself.

i am looking for a few families to allow me to document them in a little film before the end of the year.  you simple go do your thing with your family and i follow along...it is easy!  so if this is something you'd LOVE to have, let's chat!  shoot me an email and we can go over all the details.

soon to be party of six.

when mom and dad get married soon, these four girls will soon not just be friends, they will be sisters too!  and i am pretty sure they couldn't get along better ... splashing, twirls, hugs and tons of adorable smiles were how these six do it!

oh ellie.

last week i got to hang out with these three.

we chatted about kids and photography, adventured around the park and snuggled up little ellie.

they were relaxed and comfortable and ridiculously photogenic.  it was simple and perfect.

meet the marks family.

i have been photographing families for a few years now.  i have this vision when going into a session and what i want to provide my clients with, but sometimes nerves take over or my mind goes blank.  so i just keep pushing through and working at it.  but, this family and this session, is what i love to do.

their home was welcoming and comfortable.  the kids were kind and adventurous.  their spirits were elated and animated.  the weather was warm and bright.  their family was oh so loving and sweet.   it was perfect.
